Fellowship
There are many opportunities for fellowship at First Presbyterian Church of Kalispell.
Coffee Hour Following the Church Service on Sunday
After
the worship service, attendees are invited to participate in the coffee
hour where they can meet and greet other members of the congregation and
members of the church staff. Visitors are encouraged to
participate. The coffee hour is held in the church parlor and is hosted by
volunteers from the congregation. In addition to coffee, orange juice,
pastries, cheeses, fruit, cookies, cakes and other "finger foods" are
served. This time of fellowship is particularly enjoyed by the children
following Sunday school.
Potluck Dinners
During the cooler months of the year, potlucks are held on the second Sunday of the month following the worship service in place of the coffee hour. Visitors are also invited to participate during this time of fellowship. Members of the congregation bring their favorite dishes to share. The potluck meals are served in the downstairs Fellowship Hall, and volunteers perform setup and clean up duty.
Special Events
Many special events are held throughout the year which also provide opportunities for fellowship.
Creating
a community for young families is an important part of the programming
at First Presbyterian. We have special family fun events throughout the
year, including a Sunday School kick-off barbecue in September, a
Halloween carnival, an Easter egg hunt, a picnic in the park in the
spring, and a party at Woodland Water Park in the summer.
