church services at First Presbyterian Church of Kalispell are broadcast
on KALS 97.1 FM at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The tower location for
KALS is on Blacktail Mountain, ten miles south of Kalispell, at over
6900 feet above sea level. In addition to broadcasting services from
serveral churches and programing from Your Network of Praise, the
station broadcasts adult contemporary Christian music and the Christian
classics. KALS has been serving Northwest Montana since 1974. Its
broadcasting reaches Eureka to the north, Libby to the west, Missoula to
the south, and Cutbank to the east.
While the announcements on the First Presbyterian Church of Kalispell broadcast are for the coming week, scheduling issues require that the actual church service is from the previous Sunday.
Services are recorded by volunteers using the sound board at the church. In addition to use of the recording for radio broadcast, the sermons are edited from the sound track and are available on the church website. Sermons from the last four weeks are available on the website for those that are unable to attend services.
