The liturgical seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent (including Ash
Wednesday and Maundy Thursday), Easter, and Pentecost are observed with
special themes, decorations, meditative, mid-week services, and soup
suppers.
Music plays a vital role in each worship service and season. Throughout the year, we are thankful for: our small children’s choir which lifts God up and brings joy to those who witness those young voices singing His praises; the liturgical dances that give a visual expression of God’s grace and beauty; the bell choir that rings in the glad tidings of Christmas and Easter; our Chancel Choir that provides inspirational anthems from September-May; and those in our community and congregation who share their musical talents with us during the summer months when the choir is on hiatus.
We are also blessed with the musical expertise of our talented church organist, and our accomplished pianist/choir director.
In addition to our liturgical celebrations, our active church
also observes other special Sunday services. A few of them are: Jazz
Sunday (October), an intergenerational Christmas program (December),
Women’s Sunday (February or March), Youth Sunday, and Worship at the
Camp (August - where worship is held outside at Glacier Conference
Center south of Lakeside overlooking Flathead Lake).
In the Spring of 2011, a special service was presented by Korean students attending our church, with hymns sung in the Korean language.
