Miriam Mauiritzen, Associate Pastor email: miriam@pcusa-kalispell.org Miriam grew up playing and learning about God in South Carolina. After being nurtured by the church and inspired on a youth retreat in high school, she began developing a living relationship with God and had little idea of where that would take her. She graduated with a Religion/Philosophy/Christian Education double major from Presbyterian College and went with God to Overland Park, Kansas, where she developed and lead Youth Ministry for four years. Hearing the call to ordained ministry in the Presbyterian Church, Miriam entered Princeton Seminary to explore new forms of ministry, learn how to listen and engage scripture, and become a healthy pastor. While at seminary, she met, fell in love and married Clayton Mauritzen, who brought her to Glacier National Park for their honeymoon. Before being called to our church, Clayton and Miriam lived and worked in Longview, Texas, near Clayton’s family. Clayton and Miriam love hiking, cooking, road trips, and their Aussie pup, Cadia. Miriam is excited about her call to join our ministry in First Presbyterian Church and throughout the valley and looks forward to being part of our lives for many years to come. With her siblings’ families and mom living on the East Coast and her husband’s family in Texas, she has places to go in the winter and believes in investing in Sky Miles. |
